We are a competitive co-ed ultimate frisbee team that works hard, stays in shape and loves to play. This year we are practicing 2 times/week. This isn't enough time to perfect everything and get in great shape, so everyone is expected to do things on their own outside of practice as well. I want people to play together enough that there are natural meshings and understandings on the field.
Practices will remain open to anyone who wants to join us. It will always be a place where people can come to learn. We're also more likely to have enough people to scrimmage this way. The first part of practice will always be throwing (~10 minutes), warm up (~10 minutes) and drills (10+ minutes) - check out the practice page for more details.
I've also selected some people to help me run the team more efficiently. My goal with this is to help us get more done at practice without wasting any time by having every aspect of practice planned out ahead of time, as well as to have extra input on how things should be run. These are my co-captains/core team:
When we go to tournaments, we will typically want to bring about 12+ men and 8+ ladies.
This year we will plan ahead of time which tournaments we're going to try to do well in, and which tournaments are just for fun.
Who we bring to these will be based on several items including attendance at practice, work ethic, and mechanics of the team.
I will decide on rosters for tournaments ahead of time and may have my co-captains approve it.
Just being a good player is not going to be enough if you want to play with us.
