USA vs Japan 2009 World Games, Gold Medal Game

I left part 1 out because it just contains the introduction ceremony. It is kind of fun to watch the generally high caliber of play here in the other 3 parts though. I like that none of them are afraid to lose yards in order to keep the disc flowing quickly. Overall, I thought both teams played pretty good offense.

Part 2: I may be wrong about this, but I thought that if you ran out of bounds with the disc, you were supposed to go back to the spot where you went out and check the disc in which, Japan doesn't do at 3:14. I probably am wrong since I noticed similar circumstances several other times in the videos. The video quality isn't really good enough to tell, but I'm pretty sure Japan caught the disc out of bounds at 4:58. It also looks as though USA fouled Japan on the subsequent huck. I love the nice easy hammer score at 5:41. There is a pretty sweet forehand cross-field OI huck by Japan at 7:17.

Part 3: USA has a pretty sweet sky at the beginning of this one, but it's called back on a foul. I was also amazed at how good natured all of the players seemed to be in this kind of high level of competition. There is a nice layout catch by Japan while USA is falling on her at 2:58. USA with a pretty nice stretch layout at 4:13, which was even nicer in my option because she started the disc movement back on the other side of the field that lead to that score. It looks like Japan took it personal when USA intercepted the disc at 6:08, he probably should have bought him a drink before he humped his leg though. USA isn't phased by it though, he just keeps the disc moving.

Part 4: It looks as though the preferred offense of both teams was horizontal stack; I didn't notice very much vertical all game. I couldn't help but notice that the guy from USA travels pretty blatantly 45 seconds into this part. I also noticed that there was maybe only 1 drop all game that should have gotten caught but didn't. Most of the other turnovers had defense catch up, and there were very few bad throws.
